What does a Safety Assessment indicate?

While past instances of abuse or long-term assessments may provide context or background, they do not directly address the child’s immediate safety in the present situation. Same applies to risk of future maltreatment—while it's crucial for long-term planning and intervention, it is not the focus of a Safety Assessment, which is concerned exclusively with the immediate safety concerns at hand.
